In 2020, we did not give up. We will not give up in 2021 either! For the third time, on the first weekend of September, the international Krakow Sevens tournament will be held. The home teams won the first two editions in the U19 categories. Take your team and challenge them. Let’s create a great rugby fest together!
The pandemic thwarted our plans for 2020. We were to host in Krakow teams from Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Ukraine and Sweden, but also the Polish national team. Unfortunately, numerous sanctions meant that ultimately only the Poland selection appeared on the pitch, but they managed to field two teams – U18 and Development. In the women’s competition, Venol Atomówki Łódź and KS Budowlane Łódź appeared next to the hosts of the tournament. In the U16 category, Juvenia and Husar Bolesławiec fought fierce battles. It was the team from the west of Poland that broke the dominance of the Juvenia teams, winning in the lowest age category (U16). In the remaining ones, “Young Dragons” were on the top again.
In 2021, we believe it will be different. We believe it will be normal again and, as in 2019, we will be able to invite teams from all over the world to our city. With no travel restrictions or uncomfortable covid sanctions. We believe that we will be able to meet, compete on the pitch and enjoy the time together.
We know that covid-19 sometimes forces changes at the last minute, so this year the entry fee will have to be paid by the end of July – a month before the tournament. Furthermore, in the case of cancellation, we will refund the full entry fee to the teams. However, we sincerely hope that it will not be needed and we will have a lot of fun between 3 and 5 September!
Registration is now open!
Gather your team and come to Krakow!
It’s worth it!
